NY Project Hope COVID-19 Emotional Support Helpline

NYS Education Department recently announced the NY Project Hope COVID-19 Emotional Support for families. 

Emotional support is also available if you are feeling stressed, isolated, scared, anxious, sad, or angry during this trying time. Trained crisis counselors are available at the NY Project Hope COVID-19 Emotional Support Helpline to provide a listening ear, information, and referrals  for community resources. The helpline is open 7 days a week from 8 AM to 10 PM.

During this public health crisis food access has become a key issue in communities across the city. Additionally, families have been struggling with lost income, housing insecurity, and increased mental health challenges.

●       GetFoodNYC: Website that aggregates information for families and residents about food services available across NYC.

●       Access: Food, Housing, and Unemployment: Guidance created by the Office of Community schools for how families can access different resources and services needed during this pandemic.

●       Access HRA: ACCESS HRA is a website that allows you to get information and apply for benefit programs that are provided through the Human Resources Administration (HRA).

●       Access NYC COVID-19 Updates: Additional summary page provided by ACCESS NYC that is updated daily and provides summary information and links to city services.
