Dear IS 72 Families,  

My name is Rose Leone, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Parent Coordinator here at Police Officer Rocco Laurie Intermediate School 72.  

Before joining IS 72, I proudly worked at McKee High School in many departments of the school, One of the departments that were dear to me was the Guidance Office, where I supported staff, students and families with college preparation, testing, and overall academic and personal success. In addition to that, I bring with me many years of administrative experience, which I know will help me serve our families here with dedication and care.  

On a personal note, I am also a parent of four grown daughters, and I have experienced the NYC Department of Education both as a parent and now as the mother of a third-grade DOE teacher. These experiences have given me a unique understanding of the journey our families take, and I am deeply committed to helping you feel supported, informed, and welcomed in our school community.  

As your Parent Coordinator, my role is to be a bridge between families and the school. Whether you need guidance, resources, or just someone to talk to, I am here for you. Together, we will ensure that every child at IS 72 has the tools, encouragement, and opportunities they need to thrive.  

I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to make this school year a successful and meaningful one. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me—I am always happy to connect with our families.
